Starting with forgiveness... [Jan. 11th, 2015|01:19 am]
Learn Something New Every Day
ailslia
[mood |contemplativecontemplative]

Dear God,

How long have You been there? For the longest time, I thought You have abandoned me. I guess the proper statement would be, for the longest time, I didnt notice You were there...

I'm sorry...

I've blame You so much. I made everything hurt me, not mold me. My head was down in the dirt for me to figure that out.

You tested my limits, to the point of insanity. "Stupid. Ugly. Manipulative. Disgusting. Stupid." I hear them. Every night, sometimes day, alone in my room, over and over. It frightened me.

But then, a close friend of mine called, saying, 'Amazing. Smart. Kind. Funny. Why do you believe them, and not me? What happened to the person I know?' Thru her, I heard You. 'Why wait? You can start over, now.'

I laughed when I heard those comforting words. Over and over, family and friends tell me that, as frequent, as the blames I send towards you.

They dont matter. You have nothing to prove. Why are you so scared of false accusations?

Anger. Betrayal. Justice. Redemption.

Damn it. Its so hard being human. But I feel it, the hatred.
I am human, but I want to be a human, who makes good decisions.

God, please, i need Your help. Now, that I hear You now. Help me, let it go...

How does a human forgive?

Love,

Your child

Today I learned that when the weather is bad and it's pouring with rain more people go out to the shopping malls looking for bargains, which increases sales for retailers and doubles the amount of traffic on the roads. I learned this whilst sitting in that traffic.

Today I learned the accent marks over Chinese words rendered in pinyin correspond to the direction your tone of voice should go when saying the word.

Example: ō denotes that letter should be said with a tone of voice that is high in pitch and level, as opposed to ó, which would have the speaker's tone of voice increase at the end, like when asking a question. It's a neat visual representation of the subtleties of tone of voice changing the definition of words in Mandarin.

Today I learned that if you're on vacation but have lots of stuff to do (working on getting our house ready to sell), still take a couple of days at the beginning to relax, rest, do some fun and energizing things... it'll help to refocus energy to do the chores, and you'll be less tired and resentful at having to do them at all.

Today I learned that even after two years of friendship, it's highly possible to not know someone nearly as well as you think you do. To say I witnessed a friend cut off his nose to spite his face today would be like calling Katrina a light gale. I learned just how malicious and spiteful someone can be over the smallest slight. It's a microcosmic Lucifer falling from the heavens.

[Dextromethorphan, found in Anaplex-DM®, Diabe-Tuss DM™, Benylin®, Pertussin®, Delsym®, Sucrets®, Bromfed-DM®, Robitussin®, Vicks Formula 44, etc.] should not be taken with Monoamine Oxide Inhibitors (MAOIs) and Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs) because of an apparent serotonin syndrome (fever, hypertension, arrhythmias). Should be used with caution in atopic children due to histamine release. Additive CNS depressant effects when co-administered with alcohol, antihistamines, psychotropics, and other CNS depressant drugs.

In Japan male middle aged men or above love to use puns.  I was wondering why for a long time but today, I learned one answer from a reliable  source for it.   That is because they tend to stop inputting the new words at the certain age. They tend to block new vocabularies(catch-phrases?)  so to try to activate their brain, they unconsciously utilize their present vocabularies as much as possible, thereby, male older people love puns.  About female, there are many ways to express their emotion, so it is not necessary.
